Amazon Kindle

The Amazon Kindle ebook reader has been a very popular item at Amazon.com, which is the only place to buy it from. Its price has been $399 since it was released in November 2007, but this morning the price was dropped by $40…so it’s now just $359. (Plus there’s free shipping and no sales tax for most states.)

Here are some of the key features/benefits listed on Amazon’s site:

My wife and daughter just purchased the Amazonkindle for my birthday 5/20 and they paid $399. Are they able to obtain credit for the sale price against future purchases?

Hi, Phil. Yes, Amazon has a “post-order price guarantee” which allows you to get a credit when the price drops soon after your purchase. You can find details on it here.
